Alex the Great is a project of Larps on Location, a group of larp designers and organizers based in the UK. Here are some of our values:
- Participants are more important than larps.
- We want to allow people to explore potentially difficult topics in a safe environment.
- We believe in co-creative fun.
- We believe in playing to flow and to lift.
- We oppose hierarchical structures of all kinds.
- We believe in transparency. We will be as open as possible unless that conflicts with player safety.
- We will make mistakes and we will hold ourselves accountable.
- We will always consider inclusion in larp design.
- We subscribe to the Larp Safety manifesto.
We believe that the physical and emotional safety of players is the most important aspect of larp design. Players are more important than the larp, and player safety and comfort is our priority. All of the larps that we run will have a comprehensive safety policy, and we will always have organizers on safety duty that players can speak with about any issues.
